Are you also fed up by these worn-out belief systems that propagate the domination of the other, and exploitation of the earth. We certainly live at the last uproar of patriarchy. As an act of resistance, but also even more as a way out, I like to investigate our position as a human being in a bigger picture than the competition between strong rulers.

What is our evolution on the earth in a cosmic context and how much is that evolution connected by how we deal with the influence of the sun and the moon in our societies. For instance, the witching hours of the moon-calender are banned for centuries now. In two sessions we start to explore the somatic principles of being in connection with some of these intangible energies of the planetary system. My desire is to create our own sun, moon and earth dance, to get ourselves and our communities in a cosmic balance again.

Robert Steijn, dancer, choreographer, living in Amsterdam (1958), in his dance practice he connects with the more than human world, inspired by the knowledge of the animal, plant, fungal mineral kingdom and planetary constellations. As a solo performer he explored the magic of the deer and the feathered snake dance, and now he prepares a new solo about living in cosmic balance: "the end of patriarchy". As a choreographer he collaborated with other choreographers or visual artists, most of all in duets: Maria Hassabi ( New York), Frans Poelstra ( Wenger), Angela Schubot ( Berlijn) and Ricardo Rubio (Mexico City) among many others. At the moment he performs in “Friction” of Sophia Rodriguez (Brussels), reawakens a dionysian cult in Brussels together with Asher Lev and Irina Lavrovic ( The New Dionysian Portal) and tries to initiate public events between dance and eco-activism with a group of performance artists, as was the case in Vienna (Eindorf/ ImFlieger/ Echoraum). In Mexico City he founded the school of tender thinking together with Ricardo Rubio.

Seid ihr auch die überkommenen Glaubenssätze satt, die das Beherschen des anderen und die Ausbeutung der Erde propagieren? Wir leben mit Sicherheit in der Spätphase des Patriarchats, das sich ein letztes Mal aufbäumt. Als Akt des Widerstands, aber noch viel mehr als Ausweg, möchte ich unsere Position als Menschen in einem größeren Bild untersuchen als nur in einem Wettbewerb starker Herrscher*innen.

Wie verhält sich unsere Evolution auf der Erde zum kosmischen Kontext und wie sehr hängt diese Entwicklung damit zusammen, wie wir mit dem Einfluss von Sonne und Mond in unseren Gesellschaften umgehen. So sind zum Beispiel die Geisterstunden des Mondkalenders seit Jahrhunderten verboten. In zwei Sitzungen beginnen wir, die somatischen Prinzipien des Seins in Verbindung mit einigen dieser nicht greifbaren Energien des Planetensystems zu erforschen. Mein Wunsch ist es, unseren eigenen Sonnen-, Mond- und Erdentanz zu kreieren, um uns und unsere Gemeinschaften wieder in ein kosmisches Gleichgewicht zu bringen.

Robert Steijn, Tänzer und Choreograf, lebt in Amsterdam. In seiner Tanzpraxis verbindet er sich mit der übermenschlichen Welt, inspiriert vom Wissen der Tiere, Pflanzen, und Pilze sowie der Planetenkonstellationen. Als Soloperformer erforschte er die Magie der Hirsche und des gefiederten Schlangentanzes, und nun bereitet er ein neues Solo über das Leben im kosmischen Gleichgewicht vor, the end of the patriarchy. Als Choreograph arbeitete er mit anderen Choreograf*innen und bildenden Künstler*innen zusammen, vor allem in Duetten: unter anderem mit Maria Hassabi, Frans Poelstra, Angela Schubot und Ricardo Rubio. Zurzeit tritt er in Friction von Sophia Rodriguez (Brüssel) auf, erweckt zusammen mit Asher Lev und Irina Lavrovic einen dionysischen Kult in Brüssel wieder zum Leben (The New Dionysian Portal) und initiiert mit einer Gruppe von Performance-Künstler*innen öffentliche Veranstaltungen zwischen Tanz und Öko-Aktivismus, wie es in Wien der Fall war (Eindorf/ ImFlieger/ Echoraum). In Mexiko-Stadt gründete er zusammen mit Ricardo Rubio die Schule des zarten Denkens.
