open level

Can we release “enjoyment” from the flood of information about how bodies should look and function? Instead of repeating established aesthetics, we will find paths of sensing and moving to re-discover intimacy and pleasure. Let us vibrate with space, objects, and magical anatomies and draw witty lines between thoughts, dance, and somatic practices to explore transformation. If we dare so, our own bones, organs, and (hi)stories may help to imagine ourselves as agential and poetic bodies. Bodies that can melt, glow, and reveal luscious fields of gravity; that liberate themselves from categories; that portray pleasure as an act of emancipation. We can leave behind the Other's contradictory – and oh so annoying – ideals and lure the unpredictable and the in/between as a source. It will be a shared experience of self, trust, uncertainty, and raw matter to prepare ourselves for what may just happen. Open to all curious bodies. No limits on practice or knowledge! The richer the backgrounds, the more composite to explore. Wear comfy or fierce clothes.

Marcus Fisch:
After touring as a performer for Romeo Castellucci / Societas, Marcus completed a degree in social sciences in Vienna. Since then, he has been searching for entanglements of dance, theory, and somatic techniques. His roots are in the psychoanalytic approach of surplus enjoyment and in queer feminism, such as the new materialist Donna Haraway and quantum physicist Karen Barad. In addition, he works as a movement educator for people with/out dis_abilities and in the psychosocial setting.
